Investigators are working to determine the cause of an apparent gas explosion at a downtown hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. The explosion at the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel left at least 21 people injured and resulted in a thick plume of smoke over downtown buildings. Fire officials believe the blast was caused by a gas explosion but are still investigating the cause. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting with the investigation. The building, which had recently been renovated, is located near the Fort Worth Convention Center and City Hall.
