The Federal Aviation Administration flagged safety issues for two families of Boeing planes, the latest problems for the troubled aircraft manufacturer. The issues involve engine anti-ice systems on the 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner. Despite these concerns, both models are still permitted to fly. The FAA and Boeing believe the issues can be addressed through the standard airworthiness directives process, without requiring an immediate grounding of the planes. This is another setback for Boeing, which has already faced previous safety issues, including fatal crashes and a20-month grounding of the 737 Max.
